HRM Chief Penda Martin Moleke III was born in Loe, Batanga Ndian in Cameroon on December 7, 1949, to Pa Penda Pius Moleke II and Mama Regina Matuke Penda. Chief Penda was the eldest of eight children.
In his personal life, Chief Penda Martin was blessed with a loving family. He married Mrs. Sophie Penda, nee Awanjo, in 1972, and together, they have seven children and twenty grandchildren. His family was a testament to his love and commitment.
Chief Penda's leadership qualities and dedication to his community earned him the esteemed HRM Chief Penda Martin, Chief of Loe, Batanga, Ndian in June 2015. His wisdom and kindness made him a beloved figure among his people.
Throughout his life, Chief Penda Martin Moleke remained true to his values of simplicity and humility, inspiring those around him with his kindness and generosity. After completing his early childhood education in Ekona, he passed the entrance exam into the prestigious Agricultural school in Bambili. Upon completing this education, he graduated with a Diploma in Agricultural Technology in 1982.
Upon graduation, he went to work for the renowned IRAD Ekona Research Center as an Agricultural Technologist until retirement in 1999.
His wisdom and kindness made him a beloved figure among his people. He became a member of the House of Chiefs in Ndian Division, Cameroon. He was a Founding father of the Ekona Old Boys and Girls Association (EYOGBA).
Chief Penda Martin loved his family and the community. His favorite pastimes were playing Checkers and he was an avid football player. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, the community, and our Batanga family.
